Montessori-based Early Learning School

Admissions Inquiry

A clutter-free and prepared environment where meaningfully structured learning spaces naturally draw students in.

Doctor Maria Montessori said that children acquire knowledge through experience in the environment. This is one of the leading principles that guide the design of our Tuxedo Park campus, where the learning environment is designed to be open and accessible to all students.

Blüm’s extended learning community

A strong community provides a supportive environment that helps students develop their social-emotional skills and feel a sense of belonging.

Our tight-knit campus communities are ignited to engage our students to develop a clear sense of values and a social conscience on their path to becoming responsible global citizens. Blüm is proud to be hyper-local and encourages our students to be involved with helping others both in and outside of their classrooms. These are a few of our key community partners:

About us

Tuxedo Park Community Association

The Tuxedo Park Community Association is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to enhancing our neighborhood and one which Blüm is proud to collaborate with through different partnerships that engage our students and Educators.

Sharon Manor

This facility provides subsidized housing for Albertans who have retired and is located a few short blocks from the Tuxedo Park campus. We are delighted to have our students participate in different activations with Sharon Manor residents throughout the year.

Made by Momma

Made by Momma is a grassroots non-profit organization and registered Canadian charity located in Calgary’s NW. They help families facing situations of adversity and crisis by providing healthy prepared meals, supportive in-home visits, and many other services. Through scheduled goods drives, Blüm is proud to provide vital baby essentials and children’s items for families accessing Made by Momma.

Research Backed Designed Curriculum

Blüm’s programming is a proprietary synthesis of internationally respected Montessori pedagogy and the inquiry-driven framework of Reggio Emilia—an approach that aligns closely with Alberta’s provincially recognized Early Learning and Care Framework. This integration ensures learning experiences are developmentally grounded, research-informed, and deeply responsive to the student.

Classrooms are intentionally free from screens and digital media, allowing students to engage fully with thoughtfully curated materials, quality literature, and hands-on learning experiences. Natural and open-ended materials—such as stones, wood, textiles, and loose parts—are regularly incorporated into play, visual arts, and creative exploration, supporting imagination, problem-solving, and expressive thinking.

What Do Blüm Families Say?

A finely curated daycare both for space/ toys as well as staffing. It doesn’t take much convincing for our toddler to go here in the morning and when we pick him up he is usually deeply occupied and has no rush heading home. We love the calm, loving discipline that the staff practices with the kids. We have experienced another, similar size preschool before finding Blüm and can say it makes a world of a difference to have your child in a supportive and well organized environment. The food is fresh and delicious and the kids are going to the park on the daily. There are excursions and guests to introduce kids to different activities and topics, the programming is fun and exciting. Thanks to the owners and the lovely staff for taking such good care of our little one.

I have to add after almost a year with Blüm and our littlest one joining the baby group we are still impressed with the quality of care. The team keeps surprising us with big and small gestures like an invite to a of a Christmas party (a riot in the best sense of the word), a neatly assembled year book, or some coffee and sweets in the morning before a long weekend. Thanks to Blüm team for maintaining the quality of the space and interaction with the kids and families.
